The owner of Champion Video has over 25 years of martial arts experience.  "I think it gives me a great advantage when I direct my camera ops during an MMA style event.  I understand body movement and can predict much of the action giving me the chance to make sure our camera ops are in the right place at the right time"

To the left you can see the position of the three camera ops.  To the left, is one op standing in a tree stand that is connected to the cage.  Also connected to the cage just right of center is another camera op, also standing in a tree stand.  The jib we used and operator can also be seen in the lower right of the pic.  In addition to these three cameras, we also set up a fourth stationary camera that we set up on a ten foot monopod.
Here you see the camera op has a clear view over the top of the cage.  His shoulder mount that the camera rests on helps to keep his movements nice and steady.  The headphones he is wearing allows for communication and coordination between the camera ops and the director.
To the left you see the slow motion instant replay operator.  To the right you see the director.  The director coordinates the shooters, and replay ops as well as decides what goes out to the large screen.
